Traditional House in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture
This traditional house is located in the western part of Yonezawa City, near the route connecting Yonezawa City and the Aizu region. It sits slightly south of National Route 121, which leads to Kitakata City in the Aizu region, crossing the Kimen River. The surrounding area is dotted with farmhouses, and several traditional houses are still in use. This property appears to have utilized the river water flowing through the site for raising carp and had a vegetable garden within the premises. The interior has been largely renovated and does not have the traditional irori (sunken hearth) from the old days. Although this area receives relatively heavy snowfall, the property is near a national road and close to the route connecting Yonezawa City and the Aizu region, offering good access. It is recommended for use as a facility. Price is negotiable.
