Natural Spring Water Station in Itoshima
Located in Fukuoka Prefecture, this water collection point offers naturally sourced spring water from the base of Nijo-dake Mountain in the Nijofukae area of Itoshima City. The groundwater originates from beneath a very hard rock layer and is filtered over many years through the natural filter of the mountain, resulting in natural water containing the hot spring components metasilicic acid and radon. Metasilicic acid is known as a beauty-enhancing ingredient, while radon is associated with immune system improvement. The water has a moderate richness and a mild flavor, with a hardness of 66 mg, making it soft water. Its pH level is 6.4, classifying it as neutral water. The sodium ion content is 17 mg, potassium ion is 1.1 mg, calcium ion is 16 mg, and magnesium ion is 6.3 mg. The facility is open daily from 23:00 and is closed for the year-end and New Year holidays. The price is 100 yen for 20 liters. Safety precautions are recommended, such as boiling the natural spring water before drinking and being careful around water edges due to water accidents and dangerous creatures.
