Historic 100-Year-Old Kominka in Yamagata's Takahata Town
This approximately 100-year-old kominka is located in the rural farming community of Fukasawa, Takahata Town, Yamagata Prefecture. The property's ancestors served Date Masamune as the first head of the Tsuda family, who were lords of Sanuma Castle (present-day Tome City, Miyagi Prefecture). The family later moved to Takahata over time. The building was constructed about 100 years ago, with the kitchen, toilet, and other areas partially renovated to suit modern living. The site is spacious, and the well-maintained garden features a stone monument and a summer stream, adding to the property's charm. Investigation is needed regarding the road type on the west side. To access the south side road, government land must be purchased; the seller is considering covering the cost of this purchase.
