A Beautiful Kominka in the Thick Green Mountains
This property is a traditional Japanese kominka house, built before 1950 using the traditional construction method. This method is the result of more than a thousand years of past carpenters passing down their efforts and wisdom. The craftsmanship represents a dying art, as new houses cannot be built with this traditional method under current law.
The house features a very formal front entrance that guests see for the first time. Behind the entrance earthen floor, the room that spreads out is large enough to accommodate a reception set, making it ideal for hosting guests or creating a spacious living area.
