Weekend Retreat Log Cabin in Haruno Riverland
This property is a moderately sized log cabin located in the "Haruno Riverland" resort area, a rare location surrounded on three sides by clear streams. The cabin is situated in the middle of a cluster of about 20 buildings and has been well-maintained overall. The first floor features a Western-style room, with a 7-tatami Western-style room and a lofted ceiling above. A spacious 16-tatami wooden deck includes a mini-kitchen and a washing machine, all under a sturdy roof.
While the land is not expansive, gravel has been laid around the building, providing parking space for 3 to 4 vehicles. The surrounding Ishi-kiri River is a gentle, gravel-bed stream that appears safe for playing in the water. Beyond the river, the mountains are of a moderate height, ensuring ample sunlight reaches the property.
Access involves traveling from the Kida town center, the core of Haruno-cho in Tenryu-ku. From there, you go 2 km past the town, turn off National Route 362, pass through the mystical Koishima Tunnel, and continue north on the prefectural road for a little over 2 km. At the Toyooka Power Plant, you turn onto a forest road that follows the Ishi-kiri River for 6 km. The property is about a 1-hour drive from Tenryu-ku city center, making it ideal for a weekend resort lifestyle.
