Tokyo Gate Bridge
The Tokyo Gate Bridge is a truss bridge spanning the third route of Tokyo Port, located in Koto City, Tokyo. Completed in 2012, this bridge connects the Central Breakwater Outer Landfill Area with Wakasu 3-chome. The bridge has a total length of 2,618 meters, with a maximum span length of 440 meters, a width of 24 meters, and a height of 87.8 meters. It accommodates four lanes of traffic (two in each direction) and includes pedestrian walkways.
Due to its location beneath the flight path of Haneda Airport, the bridge's height is restricted to 98.1 meters. Its distinctive triangular truss structure gives it the appearance of two dinosaurs facing each other, earning it the nickname 'Dinosaur Bridge.' The bridge is also known as a spot where the sun sets behind Mount Fuji.
A solar power generation system has been installed on the bridge, which also powers nighttime illumination. The bridge's lighting and views of Mount Fuji and the sunset are notable features.
