Short Stay Kagayaki: A Modern Care Facility in Gojome Town
Short Stay Kagayaki is a modern care facility that opened in the autumn of 2016 in Gojome Town, Akita Prefecture. The facility's core philosophy is to provide an environment where both staff and residents can live "comfortably, with room to spare, peacefully, and with peace of mind." This approach has attracted users from various locations across the prefecture.
The facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can accommodate up to 33 residents. The accommodation is divided into private rooms, a 2-person room, three 4-person rooms, and a semi-private room. Key equipment and features include private/multi-bed rooms, a combined dining and functional training room, a bath, a medical/rest room, a laundry room, a guest room, and a multi-purpose toilet. Approximately 10 parking spaces are available for visitors.
Driven by the motto of "increasing employment opportunities and providing safe living through in-home services, for the sake of the community," the facility is also characterized by the passionate ideas of its staff. These include aspirations to create a guest room for children waiting for their parents and to open classrooms where high school students can obtain qualifications in nursing care during long vacations.
Gojome Town is renowned for its traditional morning market, the Gojome Asaichi, which has been running for over 500 years, offering a vibrant slice of local culture and fresh produce. The area is also home to the scenic Lake Tazawa, Japan's deepest lake, a major tourist attraction known for its stunning cobalt-blue waters and surrounding natural beauty.
