This unique Machiya, located in the historic Asuke district of Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, is a designated traditional building within a nationally important preservation district. The property is believed to have been built around the 1880s and features a distinctive appearance with its upper floors covered in plaster. This architectural style was a lesson learned from a major fire at the end of the 18th century and is characteristic of Asuke. The house's triangular roof cross-section facing the front is a valuable and old style originating from the Edo period.
