This log house is located in the Yasutomi-cho area of Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, within a quiet vacation home district. The property was purchased by the current owner for full-time residence and was carefully maintained while new plumbing and other fixtures were installed. However, due to the extremely remote mountain environment, social interaction became very limited, leading to the decision to relocate and sell the property.
The building features a wood stove in the living room for warmth during winter. A spacious 10-tatami main wooden deck includes a sink and a pizza oven. There is also a 5-tatami workshop with its own dedicated wooden deck, ideal for hobbies, and a 7.6-tatami loft that can serve multiple purposes.
Significant updates have been made to the utilities. A new air conditioner was installed in July 2025. The bathroom faucet and washbasin faucet were replaced between March and May 2025, and the bathroom piping was renewed in March 2025. The property has a private water supply managed by a company that draws stream water into a storage tank, with a purification system and regular water quality testing. The toilet is flush type with a septic tank, and the bath uses propane gas.
The property has undergone thorough insect and gecko proofing. The owner spent several months sealing all gaps inside the house, and no insects or geckos have been observed indoors since the work was completed. The surrounding environment is very quiet and rich in nature, with a full starry sky at night and frequent sightings of wild deer. A nearby dam provides a good location for relaxing walks.
There is no dedicated parking space on the property, but the adjacent road is a private road where multiple vehicles can be parked freely. Please note that the gas stove has been removed, though the gas piping remains functional. The toilet exhaust fan has also been removed. The building is currently unregistered and will be transferred as-is. The property is located within a landslide hazard warning area. A monthly management fee of 50,000 yen (excluding tax) is required as it is a vacation home district. Additional fees for name transfer may apply upon sale.
